ONWARD EXPEDITIONS has put together a quick list of Frequently Asked Questions to make the touring experience better for everyone. Please note all our group leaders/teachers create their own customized travel experiences and are the best local resource for questions on rooming lists/behavior policies and your group/school specific itinerary. All accounting/payment questions must be emailed to our finance department at accounting@onwardexpeditions.com.

I am an educator/group leader/home school parent that would like to create a travel experience for my group. Who do I need to contact to begin the process?

 

Please call our office at (800) 792-6812 or email us at info@onwardexpeditions.com with your group details and the tour you would like to plan. It normally takes 24 – 72 hours to create and cost a group itinerary based on the complexity and area you wish to visit.

 

 

I am a parent that needs to register my student for an expedition; how do I register my student?

I have sent in my registration form and deposit what happens next?

 

In ten (10) business days you will receive your welcome letter and first billing statement outlining our payment program. If you have paid in full you will receive a statement showing your account paid in full. If you have any other questions for reservations or accounting, please contact us at: accounting@onwardexpeditions.com.

 

 

I need to make a payment for an ONWARD EXPEDITIONS tour participant. Can I do that online or how can I make that payment?

 

In early 2022 we will be able to take payments online. Right now, the best way to pay is to send a check or money order to the ONWARD EXPEDITIONS office. ONWARD EXPEDITIONS 741 Atlantic Ave., Long Beach, CA 90813. If the payment is due TODAY just email us at info@onwardexpeditions.com and let us know you are sending payment and accounting will add a note to your record.

 

 

Can I make a credit card payment?

 

You can make a credit card payment; we accept VISA and MASTERCARD only and there is a 4% program development fee to handle the payment. Please note these payments must be sent to our office address using your current monthly statement or emailed to us at info@onwardexpeditions.com.

 

 

How is are the rooming list assignments handled?

 

Please direct all rooming list questions to the group leader/teacher in charge of your group they handle the rooming list process and submission to ONWARD EXPEDITIONS. ONWARD EXPEDITIONS does NOT create rooming lists for groups.

 

 

I am a parent and I would like to chaperone my student on the tour. Can I do this?

 

Each teacher/group leader/school/group has a different policy on adult chaperones. Please contact the person in charge of the tour for your group/school to receive their policy on chaperones.

 

 

I am a parent and I have questions about the behavioral policies/ expectations of the students/adults on the tour. Who should I speak with?

 

As each teacher/group leader/school/group has different behavioral policies and expectations, please reach out to the person in charge of the tour for your group/school to receive their current behavior policy and/or group behavioral expectations.

 

 

I have booked a tour for myself/my student, and I am wondering when we will receive information on the weather, packing list, and cell phone policies prior to travel?

 

Each group/school will have a meeting approximately 4 to 6 weeks prior to travel. At this meeting, the group leader will review topics like behavioral policy, packing list, and cellphone per their school/group expectations. Weather conditions can be found at www.weather.com.

 

 

I have or my student has a food allergy or needs other accommodations regarding meals. Who should I speak with, and can you accommodate us?

 

ONWARD EXPEDITIONS takes great pride in being able to supply group meals for all kinds of food allergies and specialty diets. If you have a food allergy, we do require a doctor’s note (no older than 90 days) specifically outlining the allergies and that note should be given to the teacher/group leader and ONWARD EXPEDITIONS. If you have a food preference like gluten free or are a vegetarian or vegan, we can provide choices at every meal, but as this is group travel, the choice provided may not be what you are used to eating. We are normally able to accommodate everyone who comes to us in advance and is specific with their dietary needs. Please contact us at least 60 days in advance regarding your meals if you need special accommodations. Email info@onwardexpeditions.com

 

 

Is travel insurance included in the cost of my tour?

 

All Discoveries/tours over four (4) days long have POST Departure Travel Insurance included in your cost. This insurance covers medical issues and trip delay or interruption once the tour begins. If you would like to purchase cancellation insurance for your tour, please contact us at info@onwardexpeditions.com

 

 

Is there a discount for paying off my trip in full?

 

Yes, there is a 4% discount for paying your trip in full by check or money order at the time of registration.
